Eurozone Motors
Eurozone Motors’ certified technicians know everything there is to know about taking care of and repairing BMWs – all models and years. A relatively sound and reliable vehicle, BMW is plagued with a handful of common problems. Do not worry, however. We have vast experience in repairing the problems listed below. We can repair your BMW to ensure it runs safely and efficiently. Once we’re happy with its performance, we’ll get you back out onto the road.
BMWs are somewhat susceptible to oil leaks. This can be a problem because low oil levels can damage the engine irreparably. Many BMWs end up with a leaking valve cover gasket from the factory. This can leak oil onto the garage floor or onto hot engine parts. You may be able to smell the oil burning in the engine while you are driving your BMW. In severe cases, the Beemer may release blue exhaust.
The BMW’s engine is a high-performance engine that needs plenty of synthetic motor oil and coolant to keep it running cool. In some cases, the BMW may come from the factory with a coolant leak or develop one over time. This reduces the level of coolant that circulates through the engine and causes the BMW to overheat. The Beemer will also overheat if the water pump malfunctions, another common problem.
One nice thing about your Beemer is that it has a dashboard warning light that will warn you if there is a problem with the taillights. The light will either say, “Check Rear Lamp,” or “Check Brake Lamp.” Unfortunately, the taillight connectors and circuit boards can go bad in BMWs and cause this dashboard warning. The reason why the connectors and circuit boards go bad is a common problem of corrosion.
One final common problem from which BMWs suffer is vibration in the steering wheel when you apply the brakes. This problem is common to the BMW 3 Series of automobiles. The most common cause of this problem is a faulty thrush arm bearing. This being said, you may have a vibrating steering wheel if the BMW has a suspension problem that needs to be addressed. We can do that here at our shop.
We are Eurozone Motors in Burbank, CA, and we are BMW experts. In fact, we service many different makes of European automobiles, so call us today for a service appointment for your vehicle.
